HammerHouse offers a wealth of programs to help ease players into Warhammer 40,000. You can book a free game demo session, where our experienced team guides newcomers through the fundamentals of gameplay.

During these demos, you’ll get a chance to try the tabletop game out for yourself, learning about movement, combat, and the basic flow of a battle. We recommend you bring a friend along and face off against each other, putting your skills as battlefield commanders to the test. For many of our new recruits, it’s those first few matches that leave the strongest impression, sparking a lasting love for the hobby.

We also host painting workshops to give newcomers hands-on experience with the artistic side of the hobby. It’s a good chance to pick up a brush for the first time, learn core techniques, and bring your first model to life.

We maintain a wide and steady selection of kits from Games Workshop’s main ranges, including Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, Necromunda, and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. All the staples like Combat Patrol and Battleforce sets can be found on our shelves, waiting to be taken home!

Away from the bustle of the retail floor, our dedicated gaming space on the second level gives players room to settle into longer matches, narrative campaigns, and full-scale battles without distraction. Our shelves are stocked with high-quality terrain, allowing you to set up thematic arenas that capture the spirit of the 41st Millennium, or adapt them to a variety of different game systems.

Activities aren’t limited to Warhammer either. We host regular weekly game nights for a variety of tabletop systems, giving different communities a dedicated timeslot to gather and play. Every so often, we also organise sessions where hobbyists can bring along their tools and settle in for a night of painting or building, slowly working away at that ever-present backlog of grey plastic.

Our Regular Calendar of Events and Community Activities

HammerHouse schedules a variety of outreach events throughout the year, designed to keep the hobby active and accessible to both the general public and our eager community.

One of our regular initiatives is our Matched Play events for Warhammer 40,000, where participants are encouraged to meet new friends (and rivals) and engage in some light competition. These casual sessions provide players with a chance to test their armies in a relaxed setting, refine their strategies, and face off against a variety of different factions.

But our activities aren’t just for existing customers. You can often find HammerHouse boothing at various conventions across Singapore, where we eagerly open our doors to curious newcomers. These conventions provide a chance for prospective fans to try out demo games, paint and take home their own miniatures, and get a glimpse of what makes this tabletop gaming so special!

As a Programme Partner of the National Library Board (NLB), we’ve run several painting sessions and introductory activities at public libraries, helping to bring the hobby into shared community spaces. We’ve also organised events at the National University of Singapore (NUS), introducing eager students to the fundamentals of miniature painting.

Art is a huge part of our identity here at HammerHouse. We maintain close bonds with various professional painters and artists, both in Singapore and overseas, and often invite them to hold miniature painting classes. These master painters share their expertise through hands-on sessions and demonstrations, helping hobbyists of all levels learn new techniques, improve their brushwork, and gain confidence in bringing their miniatures to life.

One of our recent events was ARTfest Minirama 2025, where we displayed over 100 miniature submissions from artists and hobbyists across the community. This exhibition served as a celebration of miniature art from painters of all experience levels, all gathering to share their creativity, admire each other’s work, and celebrate our rapidly growing hobby scene!
